Volcanic Age - Chapter 12
At that time, Ju Seo Cheon had doubts about his ears.
Mount Hua was hailed as a spiritual mountain and was known as the Five Peaks of the Midlands.
Anyone who looked at it up close would be lost in its stunning sight.
But thorns are a common feature of all lovely roses.
People who weren’t martial artists wouldn’t even try to climb Mount Hua because it was a spiritual mountain and was known for being extremely steep.
Because a trail had already been created on the Lotus Peak, where Hua Sect was situated, the ascent was very simple.
However, it differed for the other areas. If you weren’t at least a second-rated martial artist, it was difficult to even survive on these peaks.
And Ju Seo Cheon was now scaling the sheer cliff, whose shape or peak he could not even make out.
“Persist a little bit longer. You may feel this way because it’s your first time, but trust me—really it’s nothing to worry about!”
His master’s voice could be heard from above.
“it’s really not a big deal?”
Ju Seo Cheon stayed near the cliff and took a sip.
All ten of his fingers got cut while climbing. Bloodstains were left everywhere and the wounds only increased every time he moved his hands.
This wound wasn’t that significant. His entire body hurt, making it impossible for him to talk.
Nervousness and strength invaded his core at the same time.
However, he was unable to release the strength because doing so would be foolish. He would fall and his body would be destroyed if he did it and unintentionally broke a handhold. SPLAT.
He could have endured it if he had aroused his internal energy while climbing. But he couldn’t since he had to ascend the top without using it. He was on the verge of going insane.
It was difficult, taxing, and every part of his body ached. There wasn’t a single portion of his body that wasn’t in pain. This training was rigorous.
No, it was strange to push a nine-year-old child to such extremes in the first place.
Even if he had more internal energy than others, he didn’t believe his lord would force him to ascend a cliff. This entire scenario was entirely incorrect.
‘I didn’t think it through!’
Ju Seo Cheon regretted dismissing the enhancement gymnastics.
He assumed it would merely be a warm-up because gymnastics was invented by a weak person to help them become healthier.
But his way of thinking was flawed.
Yu Jong Mok, the kind sword, smiles.
He needed to understand who his master was.
Yu Jong Mok was a contender for the Plum Blossom Sword Examiner despite having a body that was several times weaker than the rest.
He didn’t get there purely via talent.
He had to put forth far more effort than others.
He couldn’t change his constitution, so he worked harder than everybody else to compensate.
Given the results, he had to give up on the position of Plum Blossom Sword Examiner, but that didn’t mean his efforts and skills had vanished.
In actuality, the Mount Hua Sect held a high regard for Yu Jong Mok, which made them all the more disappointed.
In any event, would someone with that kind of constitution be able to compensate for it with a simple solution? Clearly not.
“Grrr!”
He let out an inhuman shout and resumed his ascent.
His body and mind were screaming at him to quit right away.
“What an insane level of intensity…!”
His regard for his lord grew stronger.
A cliff climb requiring no internal energy.
The results were undoubtedly positive.
Martial artists, in this scenario, utilised inside energy to minimize the strain and discomfort on their bodies. It was because utilizing internal energy would safeguard their bodies’ physiological processes. However, the training wouldn’t advance properly if that happened.
As a point of comparison, the body would only become one step stronger after being damaged, dismantled, and then put back together.
Like steel, it would become more resilient as it took more hits.
That indicated that the best place for physical preparation was to scale the sheer cliff.
Because he had used up all of his internal energy, he would die if he let go of the tension or lost strength even slightly. He could only keep exerting strength. As a result of the weight and the frequent need to employ strength, his muscles would naturally grow stronger.
This was the ideal exercise program.
Ju Seo Cheon had three justifications.
“I really will pass away in this manner, Master.”
First, he only had one life to live.
“I’m only a nine-year-old. I feel like this is too much because I should be growing a lot right now.”
The second was that he still had a child’s body. If he went overboard, there might be an issue with his growth.
“Oh, you made a great question. It’s okay. Your body contains unimaginable amounts of internal energy, thus when you circulate your energy, the issue you raised will be resolved. That’s because life itself is internal energy.”
“Did I get busted…”
Ju Seo Cheon was also aware of this. There was no chance that his lord was unaware of it.
Contrary to popular belief, he was not thinking about Yu Jong Mok at all.
The Plum Blossom’s capacity to stimulate his growth and to regenerate was ideal.
Lastly, the third.
“Master, just once help me. It’s very challenging. I really want to cry right now.”
That it was quite difficult.
Pain so severe that even the strongest person would give up. The first point was more crucial than the second, which was less significant.
I would perish if I even attempted to rest. There is nothing to be said about the mental stifling and the accompanying bodily suffering.
His body and mind were utterly worn out as a result of the extremely rigorous training.
It was certainly not typical to be able to accomplish this.
“Fuck it.”
He thought tears would start to fall.
The original Ju Seo Cheon wasn’t someone who was in a rush or who put in a lot of effort.
By a stroke of luck, he managed to survive and as a result of that good fortune, he also became one of the Five Elders.
Even when he arrived in time, his personality stayed the same.
The ability to retain his memories was the first step towards being able to grow the Plum Blossom Life Arts.
He was able to accomplish more than others while exerting less effort and using less mental energy because of this.
In the case of the Water Spirit Fruit, he only fought valiantly since it was the only means by which he could save his owner.
Ju Seo Cheon, who revered the wartime heroes, was unable to live up to their expectations.
“Right, it should really be hard…”
Yu Jong Mok wore a dejected expression as he gazed down at his disciple.
His trembling eyes became wet with tears.
“Master…!”
Ju Seo Cheon smiled ruefully as he studied Yu Jong Mok’s face.
“But that discomfort is only temporary; it will eventually go away.”
“What?”
Ju Seo Cheon had his ears crossed.
“I also gave it some attention when ascending that section. But I gritted my teeth and managed to climb it. Additionally, you will be successful safely.
Yu Jong Mok quietly smiled as usual while clenching his fist as if to advise him to cheer up.
“…Ah.”
Ju Seo Cheon seemed discouraged as he observed that smile.
“You were that kind of a person, Master!”
In Kang Ho, there was a saying that went something like this.
Don’t claim that others will be able to do what you can. Everyone has a distinct limit, regardless of whether they are martial artists or not.
You can do it because I can do it. It was among the lessons that could be deemed to be harmful.
Ju Seo Cheon was obviously superior to Yu Jong Mok in this situation, though.
At the time, Yu Jong Mok lacked the physique and mentality required to compete with his peers due to a lack of superior internal energy.
But he had a different will.
Without the assistance of others, he scaled the ledge.
Nobody could have accomplished that on their own. It was quite remarkable.
Even Ju Seo Cheon wouldn’t be able to behave that way in his previous existence.
Even among the Mount Hua Sect, his efforts were exceptional. He stood in total contrast to Ju Seo Cheon.
“I can’t do it.”
It’s alright! Even if it gets dark or early, I’ll stay here with you! Let’s have lunch together at the cliff if you’re hungry. Eat together. “
“Together….Gether….”
“Huk!”
Ju Seo Cheon turned pale.
Pebbles started to roll off his head as he heard his master’s voice echo.
“I truly don’t want to consider this, I said.”
Ju Seo Cheon wore a teary expression.
“But master is a terrible teacher!”
The personality of Yu Jong Mok was appropriate. It truly was upright.
In other words, he was straightforward and honest but without any teaching expertise.
That indicated that he shared the same way of thinking as
“You can do anything if you put forth the necessary effort, enthusiasm, and willpower.”
“My lord is so human,”
He had the ability and the will, but his constitution was feeble.
He had a wonderful nature and charisma, but his head was dim-witted.
“I am so sorry. I didn’t want to cause you such suffering. But because of that enormous internal force, if I left you alone, you would undoubtedly become sluggish.”
Yu Jong Mok was deeply upset as he watched his lone apprentice ascend the cliff.
He had initially intended to assist his disciple right away because he was a kind man who wasn’t in the least bit ruthless.
“It’s okay. I realise that I sometimes have a tendency to be a little lazy. Master, am I not already one step ahead of you?”
Ju Seo Cheon spoke with trepidation.
“No, not in the interests of your future. Forgive this master of yours, please. No, you should despise me.”
“Yes, master. I’m doing great. It was I who was at fault. I hope we can come up with another strategy since I won’t live a life of leisure. aid me once you’re a master.”
His hands began to lose strength.
He had been sleeping for far too long, and he detested the idea of having to ascend the mountain once more.
“The disciple who didn’t even know about his teacher before returning in time received this penalty.”
He never would have thought he had such a side.
No, it was reasonable for him not to be aware.
Ju Seo Cheon was already content before arriving back on schedule simply by catching up on his normal exercising, whereas Yu Jong Mok wasn’t in the best of health.
Because of this, Yu Jong Mok was unable to train Ju Seo Cheon in this manner.
“It’s incredibly difficult. I’ll pass away this way.”
The voice of Ju Seo Cheon grew frantic.
“It’s okay if you feel angry with me for being unable to assist you. The two of us should be happy because of this. I have faith in you.”
Yu Jong Mok put on a tearful expression while feigning a smile.
He had a smile that reminded me of Yuanshi Tianzun.
The surrounding haze vanished, the sky became clear, and it shone on him like a ray of light cutting through the night.
Ju Seo Cheon pondered after observing that smile.
“Fucked…I’m so fucked…”
