- Chapter 88 - The Knights Captain's options

After Remyl Ein had finished her meeting, she returned to her office.
She’s one of the Kingdom’s five Knight Captains – Normally they meet once per month, however, right now they do so at a much higher frequency.
The reason is simple – The Kingdom is being threatened by the Swordsman Gang.
Previously they had their sights on the Swordmaster Princess, Iris Reinfell. Though the Black Wolf Knights Order had dealt with them, they suffered quite a loss for it.
You might say that it is actually Alta Schweiss, the youngest knight, that resolved this all.
(Are we actually able to rely on him again though)
Currently, the remaining Swordsman Gang members are all residing in five different places. One of them is left for Alta to deal with.
The remaining four are to be left to the Knight Order’s elite.
…But every order seems to have merely cubs. For Remyl the only ones able to actually deal with the Swordsman Gang were Alta and the Blue Blade, Bell Dorso, who fell in the previous battle.
(…And I will be left with only more deskwork to fill out, huh)
As Remyl had this thought, she reached her office. As she put her hand on the doorknob, she felt the presence of another in the room.
This presence was somehow strange. Before she had even opened the door, the presence had noticed Remyl too. Though she wasn’t too much on guard, she could feel being stared at.
She moved her hand to her sword on her hip, and slowly opened the door.
There she saw – A girl.
She wore a kimono, which brought a lot of attention to her chest area, for there was no coverage there.
It was a rare sight, such an eastern look in these parts. Truth be told, the Swordsman Gang member Azuma Kurai was also like that.
The girl laughed at Remyl.
“Welcome back. I’d been waiting”
“–Ruino Tomura, I assume?”
” Hm, that’s right. How’d you know?”
She looked just like our reports had described her. Without any feeling of wrongdoing for infiltrating the office, she sat down on the couch.
“I know who you are. You managed to kill a member of the Swordsman Gang all by yourself… Why are you here?”
Remyl asked her, without losing her cool. The one thing that stands out the most in this whole case is this girl – Sitting down, right before Remyl’s eyes.
The Swordsman Gang is now aiming to kill Alta. Do they mean to take revenge for their four comrades…? I don’t know whether that is the actual reason, but they do seem to all be searching for Alta.
The one person who’s objective is completely unknown is this woman, Ruino.
We have no information as to what organization she’s affiliated to. Yet she became known to us by defeating a Swordsman Gang member.
… The real issue is, what is she up to by coming here?
She even managed to slip past the security – It’s easy to see that she is a rather skillful individual.
“Nihi, of course, I am here for business”
“Business, you say?”
“You really only ask questions. Well, I too have something I’d like to ask, so I’ll answer your question too. I’ve heard a lot, but it seems that the boy knight, Alta, is from here, and I’d love to meet him!”
“…What business do you have with him? All ask him in your stead”
“Hmm-? You don’t seem all too shabby yourself, missy, but you seem to “Lack” something.. You don’t swing your blade every day, do you?”
As if to confirm her suspicion, Ruino looked at where Remyl’s hand was. Though they both knew that they’d battle soon, Ruino kept her cool, perhaps a bit too much.
Ruino said that she came here for her described purpose. Remyl managed to read her a bit by looking at her aura.
“Are you too after Alta?”
“You too, you say. So the Swordsman Gang indeed is as well then? Just now I’d been wound up in that… Not that that has anything to do with coming here though”
“Just now..?”
“Whatever the case! Where is Alta now?”
“You figure I’d answer you?”
“I think that’d be best for you. But if it’s all about power, I don’t mind though! Nihi”
Ruino grabbed the hilt of her blade. This was the critical moment – Any moment now and they’d clash blades.
“What do you think you’re —- Gua!”
“!”
At that moment the loud voices of knights were heard from outside. Ruino frowned in response.
“Aaah… They’d actually come this far”
“What the hell did you take with you?”
“I just told you. I was wound up in a little something on the way here”
Just as Ruino said this, the door was smashed with a blade.
Remyl responded quickly and moved away. She then saw a man claddered in blood.
“Sword… Gang…!”
The next visitor was even more unexpected.
The Swordsman Gang’s movements were already confirmed by the Knights Order. However, it is impossible to completely monitor them all the way.
Including Ruino, the number of strange things occurring became a bit much.
The Swordsman Gang member – Zenas Raadi completely focussed his sights onto Ruino.
“Don’t think I’d just let you run”
“Nihi, I wasn’t really running though. My destination is here, so I really don’t have the time for you people anymore!”
Zenas didn’t seem to be willing to listen to whatever Ruino had to say.
With his red blade, dripping from the blood he had spilled, in hand, he approached Ruino.
Remyl was right now in the spot where she had to actually capture both of them.
However, both of them are extremely strong… If she was about to fight them, the chance of her losing would be rather great.
And if that were to happen, then the Swordsman Gang had another chance at infiltrating the Kingdom.
This was a moment of emergency.
As Ruino looked at Remyl, she laughed.
“Well, let’s make a trade then. If you can introduce me to Alta, I’ll help you deal with this problem”
“What did you…?”
This was perhaps the worst, but also the most desirable option for Remyl.
