Master of Science and Technology - Chapter 60

Of course, Ye Zan wouldn’t leave the Yu Qing students to fend for themselves. Take a look at Zhou Ming. That was a great example of what ten years here would do to you. It was enough to push any normal person into insanity. People were susceptible to change. Even if you weren’t pushed into insanity, ten years was still enough to change a lot of things.
But, he hadn’t forgotten that there were a couple of clones in this Realm. Clones didn’t have independent thinking nor souls. Naturally, there wouldn’t be any problems concerning mental issues, etc. If they were set with smart chips, they could serve as flesh-bodied robots, with complete assurance of their loyalty.
There were six clones in this Realm, all of the purest cultivation potentials, filled with spiritual energy as Ye Zan had been. Although they were not of the Refining State, if they could get a hold of a suit of armor, along with a couple of Mechanical Spiders and some drones, there was nothing in this Realm that could threaten them.
There was a lot two clones could do in ten years in this Realm; like growing spiritual grass, raising beasts, etc. In this way, even if Ye Zan couldn’t gain control of the REalm, he could at least treat it as his own little garden, with only the slightest of restrictions.
Furthermore, if Ye Zan found the key to becoming Master of the Realm, it would take less than ten years for him to take this place as his own. Leaving a couple of people in here to manage the space beforehand couldn’t hurt. He would have to do this work anyway after mastering the Realm. Might as well have the clones do some gardening, building, or farming work prior and save some time.
Ye Zan was an active worker. He did what he wanted as he thought of it. He didn’t have to worry about the safety of the Yu Qing students anyway. Stopping Goldie, he decided to turn back into the Secret Realm and set the clone’s internal location within the Secret Realm. There was a protective boundary around this space. Having eliminated the risk of all of the Puppets, he only needed to create some structure for protection, removing any worries he might have about beasts coming in and destroying them.
After returning to the Secret Realm, Ye Zan opened his dimension and brought out the two finished clones, proceeding then to bring out all sorts of other resources, like armor and defensive/offensive gear. A couple of robots brought out some materials and supports. In no time, a small fortress had been completed.
This fortress looked to be flat but was actually composed of three layers, complete with bedrooms and bathrooms. It seemed small but was complete. After all, these clones weren’t robots. Even if they didn’t have human emotions, they still had human needs. Ye Zan couldn’t be stingy. He needed to increase the benefits for his employees. After all, he couldn’t use this fortress himself anyway.
Apart from the fortress, there were also some connecting structures circling it. Some contained chip-making equipment while others contained assistive machines. Each had its own function.
With the last wire connecting from within the Secret Realm to the outside, Ye Zan placed yet another hidden communication reactor outside of the boundaries. If the boundaries of the Realm would block the transmission of signals, he might as well send messages directly over the line and connect them with the outside signals.
Thus, the problem of broken connection was solved.
Finishing this job only took an hour or so of time. That was the beauty of technology; it sped everything up. Leaving two clones behind, Ye Zan left the Secret Realm once again, alongside Goldie, and headed directly for the Yu Qing students.
As Ye Zan was organizing his clones, there had already been a change among the students of the Five Sects.
What type of person was Zhou Ming? He had proclaimed himself as the Master of the Closed Realm. Though he was not really skilled, he was still a master within this Realm. Most importantly, he could act without thinking of consequences. He did not need to fear any punishment that might be wrought upon him by the Jin Dan Masters or the Yuan Yin Grandmasters.
What does it mean to be absolute power? What does it mean to be unscrupulous? Here was your answer!
But now, he had only asked them for two women. Yet they dared to refuse him! Did they not know that he could kill people? The Qing Yue Sword Sect really did not know mercy when they saw it!
Thinking of them, Zhou Ming felt a rage like a burning inferno.
Originally, after Zhou Ming had gained control of the Jin Guang Sect, he had brought the students of the two Sects with him towards the Qing Yue Sword Sect territory. With his ten years of experience, it hadn’t taken him long to find him. However, he did not expect for the Qing Yue Swords Sect students to have more backbone than the Jin Guang Sect
If Zhou Ming had been negotiable and demonstrated some of his skill as a FOundation State cultivator, perhaps the Qing Yue Sword Sect would have admitted defeat. However, ZHou Mign was reckless and arrogant, acting as if he were absolute and killing without a second thought. How could he think any further? He had thought to threaten them like he had Jin Guang Sect, come up immediately with a murder. He hadn’t realized that killing one of them would only boost their resistance.
The students of the Qing Yue Sword Sect were all hotheaded youths. When they were agitated, who cared if you were a Foundation State cultivator or not. Furthermore, sword training didn’t teach them to take things softly. Although they were only Refining State students and didn’t really count as Sword Sect members, they had been taught in the way of the sword cultivator. If they could silently bear seeing one of their own classmates being killed over a couple of words, then they might as well give up the way of the sword.
Zhou Ming was very aggressive, consecutively killing four of the Qing Yue Sword Sect students. He did succeed in threatening them. The remaining students found it hard to resist. They could only bring their wounded classmates with them as they rushed towards the Guang Fa territory, preparing to join forces with them.
Zhou Ming was not in a rush to chase them. In his eyes, they would have to meet up eventually. It wouldn’t be long before he got a hold of them. Furthermore, despite him being a Foundation State cultivator, flying on his sword was not an easy task.
Foundation State cultivators could use their swords to fly. But “could use” and “could easily use” were completely different things. From the capacity of a Foundation State cultivator, it would take less than a minute for them to exert all of their inner force from flying a sword.
Zhou Ming did not pursue them. The remaining students of the Qing Yue Sword Sect finally met up with the monks of Guang Fa Sect. However, after cool calculation, the students of the Qing Yue Sword Sect decided that solely based on the combined power of themselves and Guang Fa, it was still not enough to work against Zhou Ming, not to mention his allies Wu Zhu and Jin Guang Sect. It was clearly seen that they had drawn the Wu Zhu and Jin Guang Sects as Zhou Ming’s slaves.
From the sparring rounds prior to entering the Realm, the skill of the Yu Qing students had already been witnessed. Even if they didn’t, all still knew of their power. The students of the two Sects thought of the same strategy and ran into the Yu Qing sector; joining with the Yu Qing students.
Thus, this was how the image of the two awaiting forces Ye Zan had witnessed through the drones had come about.
Why the heck would you leave a communication device before going to the students?!
