Master of Science and Technology - Chapter 49

Facing the incoming puppets, one of the mechanical spiders shot out a dart from its back. With a “ping”, a silvery-white net flew towards the heads of the puppets.
Spiders, of course, they would have webs. The webs that these mechanical spiers used were not ordinary. Don’t see that the lines were extremely thin; they were all made of nanomaterials. Each thread could endure the pull of over a thousand tons of energy. And those puppets were never any top tier objects. With the pull of this web, how could they struggle out? The puppets were like flies in a spider’s web; no matter how hard they struggled, they would only be pulled tighter.
A door opened, and several robots walked out, raising a web to securely wrap the puppets. In a flash, they had returned back into the dimension. Scanning, dismemberment, analysis; the information on these puppets would all be closely recorded. Even if there were many things Ye Zan did not yet understand, there would be time to use them in the future.
Ye Zan would capture a design of each puppet to reserve for additional research, and dig out the central core. These puppets were all powered by these spiritual beast cores. This was probably the reason for farming so many in this Realm.
Ye Zan continued forward like this and quickly saw his destination. Suddenly, the puppets stopped attacking, If it were anyone else, they would probably think that the puppets had run out of energy. But Ye Zan could see from the drone’s alerts that there were numberless red dots charging towards this area. It seemed like they were gathering their forces.
“Interesting,” Ye Zan was finally concerned again.
These puppets behaved like beasts, without any strategy or thought. Their only instinct was to kill. However, beasts would feel pain and run, these puppets had no thoughts but to fight. Like a wave, they continuously rushed forth, only to be taken apart by the spiders.
This was the so-called “Feeding” technique. They would come in waves and be cut apart in waves. They couldn’t even touch Ye Zan’s feet. If they continued like this, it wouldn’t be long before all the puppets in the area were demolished.
And now, the puppets had seemed to notice the error in their decision. They did not continue to send their troops to their death but gathered in formation. Although this formation was not developed, to say the least, it was still much better than before.
Ye Zan was actually a little curious. These Mechanical Puppets had no brains or technological disks. Where did they get their intelligence from?
As Ye Zan had brought his spiders to the center of the area, the army of Mechanical Puppets had already finished gathering.
In the center of the area was a large field. One could say it was a competition arena. Although there were no observation stadiums, from the appearance of the walls surrounding them, one could tell that it was intended to be gating the area. Across from Ye Zan, there were over a hundred Mechanical Puppets, each in different shapes. Although they held no expressions, one could not help but feel their overwhelming dominance.
Most noticeable were the center Mechanical Puppets. Not only did they look to be shaped like humans, from the direction of the light, they looked to be made of metal. They looked like Bronze Terracotta Warriors. These Bronze Terracotta Warriors were each as tall as five meters, each armed with long knives. Just from their appearance, Ye Zan could tell that they were of a higher level than those wooden puppets.
Seeing Ye Zan’s group near, the Warrior did not speak. It just raised its knife and swiped toward Ye Zan. Those Mechanical Puppets, numbering over a hundred, charged like a river towards him, not wasting a second in hesitation. There were even some Mechanical Puppets that blew plumes of fire while charging at him. It was like a shower of meteors rushing towards Ye Zan’s group.
It knew how to use magic?!
This was not particularly surprising, many beasts had the natural ability to use simple magic, simply because of their inner cores. These Mechanical Puppets were powered by beast cores. If they didn’t have these powers, then it would be too much of a waste of resources.
More than ten balls of flame flew towards Ye Zan’s group, bringing with them a blast of explosion. The spiders were thrown everywhere. The scene looked to be rather serious, However, after being blown away, the spiders stood up as soon as they hit the ground; taking not an ounce of damage.
“This expositivity, pretty good.” Ye Zan received information on the power of the attack
From the damage inflicted, those fireballs seemed to be on par with the ancient gunpowder techniques of the technological world. This wasn’t to say that they weren’t powerful. At least, Ye Zan thought it was pretty good for primitive magic.
Of course, though it was pretty powerful, it still was unable to harm the spiders. The only reason the spiders had been blown from their feet was because they were light. No matter the heat of the explosive waves of the fireballs were able to bring any damage to the spider’s exterior.
After the explosion, the Mechanical Puppets had finally found contact with the spiders. Ye Zan himself was facing two Bronze Terracotta Warriors. These two Bronze Terracotta Warriors all used slasher knives. Each move was heavy and fierce; looking to want to slice Ye Zan in half.
Pretty scary!
Speaking on technique, these Bronze Terracotta Warriors were probably not even on par with Yu Qing’s Refining State students. But, if the two clashed, however dumb te Bronze Terracotta Warriors were, just solely based on its strength and its defensive abilities, the Refining State students would probably be helpless against it.
Not even the Refining State students, even the spiders fighting with the Bronze Terracotta Warrior were unable to hold an advantage, Their razor-sharp feet were unable to create even a mark when striking against the armor of the Bronze Terracotta Warriors.
It was fortunate that Ye Zan was always careful and had worn his armor before coming in. If he had really come unprepared and just relied on those spiders, he probably would be unable to hold an attack from the Bronze Terracotta Warriors.
Those Bronze Terracotta Warriors swiped their knives in a flurry and moved toward Ye Zan’s head, slicing down. Ye Zan darted to the slide, and the knife thudded heavily into the ground. It was like a grenade’s explosion; bringing up rocks and debris. Ye Zan finally realized why the structure around them was in ruins. They were clearly taken apart violently!
“Ping!”
Ye Zan watched for an opportunity and packed a punch towards the Bronze Terracotta Warrior’s chest. However, though the Bronze Terracotta Warrior was shocked back ten steps, its chest sparked, seeming to have absorbed the attack. Ye Zan wanted to chase but felt a cold wind as another Bronze Terracotta Warrior waved its knife and attacked.
