“Are you alright?”
“Yes.”
Soratek and Selesina went to the courtyard, sat down on a bench, and gazed at the sky.
The bright starry sky seemed to match the fertility celebration perfectly. It was a natural sight.
But she hadn’t expected Soratek to come out with her. It should be fine to rest a little and head back inside she decided.
While looking at the sky, Soratek started to speak.
“Come to think of it.
Sele, I heard about it from the Marquis that you’re going to be managing the 7th district? Aren’t you pushing yourself too much?”
“I’m alright……… it was certainly startling in the beginning but I’m sure that they also desire to live a normal lifestyle.”
“Is that so?”
He must have probably heard that the people living in the slums of Harmil left to create a village of their own. Soratek was looking at Selesina with great concern.
When she told him that she was planning to hold a festival near the village, Soratek replied happily that it sounds great.
“I would really like for you to guide me around Sele.”
“Eh? But the village doesn’t have anything at the moment. I was thinking about taking you thereafter working on it for a few years.”
However, she wouldn’t be able to continue managing it if the great tree doesn’t bloom within that period of time……but there was no need to explicitly inform him of that.
It would be a problem if the storyline were to change due to interference.
Even if the place was developing, she couldn’t take Prince Soratek there. The roads were dirty, there were no shops and it was a far cry from a proper village.
The only thing that she could proudly show was the fact that the great tree had sprouted even though she didn’t have any blessings.
‘Since it’s the great tree, he would probably want to see it.’
“I would like to see anything that Sele is working on.”
“Lord Soratek………..”
Soratek looked at Selesina lovingly and said that. He entangled his fingers into her white hair and enjoyed gently stroking it.
Selesina was a little concerned that they may be misunderstood by the heroine but she decided to let him do as he pleased without letting it bother her.
For now, she had to think of a way to quickly return back inside.
She wanted to return immediately but they started talking and Soratek didn’t seem to have any intention of returning back inside. She was worried.
It was impossible to say that they should return inside in order to see the heroine quickly but she couldn’t come up with a better reason. Soratek inclined his head as he watched her worry.
“I’m sorry for dragging you along for so long even though you’re tired…..”
“Ah, no…….It’s fine because I’m your fiancé.”
This was also one of her duties as his fiancé.
‘But, I somehow need to bring the heroine and Lord Soratek together.’
“Lord Soratek, if you’re absent for too long then the others will be troubled. Won’t you return for a while?”
“……I want to stay here and relax with you Sele.”
“………………….”
Selesina tried to stand up but Soratek’s eyes seemed to appeal to her to stay put.
She was troubled. He put his arms around her shoulder so she couldn’t even get off the bench.
When she was wondering what to do, she felt the bushes move.
She realized that someone was there and she looked towards the source of the sound. She noticed pink hair that resembled a flower. Selesina realized that it was the heroine.
“Ah, Lord Soratek……….!”
The heroine was looking this way and smiling warmly just like a flower.
‘Uwahh, the heroine is really adorable……….just as expected……’
I’m defeated without knowing—! She wanted to scream out.
‘Did she come here to look for us?’
That possibility was huge. Anyway, she had to greet her as Soratek’s fiancé.
“It’s our first time meeting. I’m Selesina Rinklat.”
“………I’m Meria Saltimal. It’s my first time meeting you Lady Selesina. It’s been a while Lord Soratek.”
“Yeah, are you doing well now?”
“Yes.”
Come to think of it, the heroine was set to have a weak body. She looked at Meria.
Soratek seemed to worry about her, then it would have been better if he wasn’t here with her.
Were they distant because this was an evening party?
Soratek introduced Meria since Selesina didn’t know her.
“Lady Meria had been taking treatment at her maternal home up until recently. She doesn’t seem to have any friends so it would be nice if both of you could get along well.”
“Of course.”
“Thank you Lady Selesina. I’m really glad that I got to speak to you.”
Her smile resembled a flower and she looked adorable, thought Selesina. Why did she carry her glass of wine with her and come out to the courtyard?
Meria noticed Selesina’s line of sight and smiled awkwardly.
“I’m still unfamiliar with this place………..It’s embarrassing.”
“That’s okay, you can always come and speak to me. You may speak to me about anything.”
“Thank you Lady Selesina.”
‘In order to avoid the bad ending, I would listen to any unreasonable request!”
“Lord Soratek, can I have a dance?”
“Eh………..?”
He saw Meria smile adorably and looked at Selesina reflexively.
Soratek wanted to dance with Selesina and not Meria but Selesina interpreted it as him not being able to dance with Meria because Selesina was present.
‘Ahh…….it would not be good for him to dance the first dance with someone other than his fiancé’
Selesina thought that he was concerned about that.
“I’ll rest here for a while so please go ahead and dance.”
“Well, thank you Lady Selesina.”
“Sele. I don’t intend to leave you here alone and go back inside when you’re feeling unwell.”
Even if Selesina was alright with it, Soratek wouldn’t budge.
But if he stayed here with her then his relationship with the heroine wouldn’t deepen.
She was wondering what to do when she suddenly had an idea.
‘That’s right, I’m a villainess!’
In that case, it would be fine to act like one.
She looked at the wine that Meria was holding. The contents were still intact, she hadn’t really drunk from her glass.
She would spill that on Meria’s dress so that the two of them could leave from here.
With that, the two of them would unavoidably be alone together.
It was a good idea she realized as she slowly stood up.
She had to do it as naturally as possible.
“Lord Soratek, I’m alright so let the three of us head back in together? It will also be more encouraging for Lady Meria that way.”
“……….Yes !”
Meria happily nodded at Selesina’s words. She nodded happily looking adorable just like a small animal. You would certainly feel like helping her out.
—–Well, I’ll be spilling the wine on her now though.
“Then, let’s go!”
She quickly took Meria’s hand as if wanting to walk.
Soratek thought that it couldn’t be helped and got up when Selesina casually pulled on Meria’s arm with some strength.
“Kyaaa!”
‘Yoshh!’
There was a sound and the wine spilled onto Meria’s dress. Some of it fell onto her clothes as well. Although that wasn’t in her plan, but it should be fine.
“Ahh, I’m really sorry Lady Meria………your dress is”
Since a deep-colored wine spilled onto her dress, there was a prominent stain. The mission was a success. Selesina quickly started to walk after telling Meria that let’s go to room when Soratek pulled on her arm.
‘Eh?’
“Take Lady Meria to the guest room immediately. Ask a maid to prepare a new dress for her.”
“Eh, eh?”
Soratek, who quickly grasped the situation, put an arm around Selesina’s shoulder and began to give out instructions.
Selesina assumed that………Soratek would be the one to take Meria to the guest room.
‘I didn’t expect this kind of development though?’
Anyway, he was embracing Selesina and holding her as if she was a princess.
“Are you okay Sele?”
“Yes, barely anything spilled over me so I’m alright.”
“I’m glad that you weren’t hurt. Let’s get you changed quickly.”
“Eh…….”
Soratek left Meria to the maids and took Selesina along with him.
‘Wait, That’s not how it’s supposed to be!’
Selesina wanted to cry out but she went along with him patiently.
